About the role
TradeAir (IFSC) is an IFSCA-registered broker-dealer and fund management entity in GIFT City, trading on NSE IX and India INX and expanding to international exchanges and brokers. We are scaling our technology infrastructure quickly. Trading comes first, but we also need reliable systems across the middle and back office. We want a tech enthusiast who understands networks, systems and financial markets, and who learns fast. You will not know all of this on day one; we expect you to show what you have built and how quickly you pick things up. You will work with our group IT team in Mumbai, and you will also be our Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
What you will do
Build and run trading infrastructure: exchange connectivity to NSE IX and India INX, trading servers and terminals, kept up through market hours.
Help set up access to international exchanges and brokers, such as CME through its Aurora data centre, from vendor scoping and circuits to testing and go-live.
Set up and run data-centre and colocation environments: racks, servers, switches, cross-connects and monitoring.
Design the network and server room for our new GIFT City office, and move people and systems across without disrupting trading.
Run firewalls, VPN, leased lines and access control, with MFA and separation between the fund and broking teams.
Support mid- and back-office systems, including back-office software, risk and reconciliation tools, email and user accounts, and backups.
Manage telecom, exchange, colocation and hardware vendors.
Keep network diagrams, the asset inventory and DR drills up to date.
Act as our CISO: own the cybersecurity policy, VAPT and cyber audits, incident response and regulatory reporting, and report on cyber risk to the Board.
Must have
3+ years of hands-on network, systems or infrastructure work.
Hands-on with routing and switching, firewalls, and Linux and Windows servers.
Working knowledge of security controls: MFA, patching, logging, backups and incident response.
A real interest in financial markets, and a basic grasp of how orders and market data move between a firm and an exchange.
Projects you can show and explain, whether at work or on your own.
Able to work on-site in GIFT City, Gandhinagar.
Good to have
Experience at a broker, exchange member, prop firm, bank or fund.
Exposure to exchange or broker connectivity (CME, SGX, FIX), market-data feeds or colocation.
Experience with VAPT, cyber audits or regulatory cybersecurity frameworks.
Python or Bash scripting for automation and monitoring.
CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Linux, or security certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+ or ISO 27001.
